Pigeon request from Prudence

Not Haughty

A glazier has been rude to Prudence, and she is taking it very personally.

side request, take it any time

What Prudence asks for

  • Quality no more than 70
  • Simple at least 40
  • Workwear at least 40
  • Uncomfortable at least 25

“No more than” is a cap: go over it and the dress fails that line, even if everything else is perfect.

How to pass it

  • Simple: Amethyst Cotton (10 gold) is among the cheapest high scorers.
  • Workwear: Salmon Cotton (10 gold) is among the cheapest high scorers.
  • Uncomfortable: Burlap (free, and the only fabric with this tag) is among the cheapest high scorers.
  • Where to put it: the skirt and bodice carry 75% of a dress's tag score (40% and 35%), so use the fabric that scores the tag there. How tag scores work.
  • Quality cap: this one wants Quality 70 or lower, so don't chase a perfect dress.
  • Prudence's own taste: Elegant + Glamour, silk, pink, jewel accessories. Lean that way when the brief leaves you a choice. Her profile and measurements.

From players who finished it

  • Quality is a ceiling: the dress must score 70 or less. Recut pieces off-grain or sew badly to pull it down. A 97 or 100 quality dress shows the Quality bar in red. Steam discussion
  • Burlap raises Uncomfortable; alternatively the Corset Bodice + Corset Skirt (Edith 1-star unlock) give Uncomfortable 25 with any fabric, then use linen/cotton for Simple and Workwear. Steam guide
  • Going over 70 quality means no friendship gain with Prudence, and the commission cannot be redone. Steam discussion

Where sources disagree

  • One player reports Prudence still gave full approval and positive dialogue at Quality 100 (thread 706660344651607811), while others report no friendship gain above 70. The Ship site's game.ts note says "under about 40" quality; no source found for 40.

The requirement list above uses the value two sources agree on.
